Unlike the negative reviews I have read hither, I had a wonderful educational experience at Kaplan. I initially earned my Assembly degree and went back to earn my Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice, which allowed me the opportunity to step into the meridian position within my agency. The professors and instructors were cracking and in fact, I've get life long friends with a few of them and we continue to keep in touch long later I've graduated. I completed 11 out of 18 courses at Purdue University and was doing well, 7 As, 2 Bs, and 1 class transferred over. That was up until terminal semester when I received a C. I am presently enrolled and STRUGGLING. Why? Considering the remaining courses utilise random questioning for examination. Which means that the exams do non reflect assigned readings for the current units. My showtime exam covered content from unit 3 and beyond. The problem was that we hadn't even progressed through the start unit of measurement.
Afterwards speaking with the instructor she explained that test questions were random, significant that they cover all content in the course. And so later reading and studying vi chapters assigned in unit 1, zippo percent of the textile was on the examination. It seems to me that ane would need to outset study the entire courses content in club to practice well. Had I been enlightened of this, I would have purchased the text book and done the readings three months in accelerate. Simply somehow this doesn't seem fair to students.

I enrolled during Autumn 2003 and took 2 courses. I decided to enroll in a local university and they would not accept these courses every bit a transfer. I was told that this school is merely accredited to itself and if I planned to become elsewhere and so I shouldn't have wasted my fourth dimension with this schoolhouse. I had to retake the ii courses that I had taken at Kaplan one time I got to the University.

I was impressed with Kaplan at first. Was telling me that upon graduation they would assist me with my resume, they would help me locate jobs In my field and even help me utilise for them. They are of no help whatsoever! They sure practice bug for the coin though. I do not think I should have to pay. They did not do their chore!!. Two years since graduation and still no help!

Subsequently speaking with Haley Carrillo on the phone today, I will never re-enroll in Kaplan once again. He was demeaning, invasive, and cavalier. From the very kickoff of the telephone call he was brief and rude. I had offset began attending Kaplan after my son was born and I wasn't working. My grades were excellent and I was named on the Dean's List for most of my terms. Fast forward to when I re-enrolled after a ii year break, I received a major promotion at work. All of my time went into work and my son, as I am a single mother Not on any type of government aid or child back up! I failed classes simply for not attention. I am not arguing that today. I take accountability and just wanted the chance to stop up the caste (as of i year ago, I was ii classes away). As Haley made the already obvious so articulate in his tone, "You know you all the same have to pay for the F's though, correct?" I'm fully aware, which is why I wondering why I was being berated... I'm paying you!

I enrolled in Kaplan and had a practiced experience for a month and a one-half. Needed to speak to my advisor however she wasn't in the office. The advisor speaking for her told me I was wasting her time and and the school'due south when they could exist better spent on someone who deserves it. This was a few years back only if individuals such as these are supposed to be an Academic Advisor, I can only imagine the standards she was pushing onto the students when they asked for aid. I filled out paperwork I thought it was for financial aid. Wrong. It was for a parent student loan! Somehow this went on for two years. I did non know anything well-nigh it. I cannot get info from school because information technology'south in my daughter's name. They won't release info to me without her filling out a third party form. Waiting on this to go done. I full feel someone took total advantage of me. I tin can't pay this. I am living paycheck to check now. I really hope no one gets screwed over like I am. It's not fair to me. I'grand going to be the one losing. It's not fair.
